The Leeds Reforms 2025

On 15 July the Chancellor announced a number of proposed financial services reforms at a summit in Leeds, ahead of her annual speech at the Mansion House, referred to as the 'Leeds Reforms’. This speech was accompanied by publication of the Government’s Financial Services Growth and Competitiveness Strategy and a number of related documents, together comprising a ten-year sector plan for financial services. The Government’s stated aim of the reforms is to “position the UK as the number one destination for financial services companies by 2035”.
