Summer work experience scheme
We run summer work experience schemes for law and non-law students in the penultimate year of their undergraduate degree every year. If you are spending your third year overseas, you also have the option of applying in your second year.
HOW TO APPLY
Applications for work experience should be made through our online application system*. You will be asked to complete a short form and attach a copy of your covering letter and CV – this should include a full percentage breakdown of all examination results.
Successful candidates will be invited to attend an interview in London or, where possible, on campus. If you are spending your third year overseas, we are happy to conduct your interview by Skype.
The interview will be conducted by a partner and an associate and will last for approximately 45 minutes. They will engage you in a discussion about your CV and on a short current affairs article, which you will be given to read before the interview.
*Slaughter and May is committed to ensuring that our recruitment processes are barrier-free and as inclusive as possible to everyone.
