Jardin Majorelle

The Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech is one of the most visited sites in Morocco. It took French painter Jacques Majorelle (1886-1962) forty years of passion and dedication to create this enchanting garden in the heart of the “Ochre City”.

The garden features a Cubist villa designed by French architect, Paul Sinoir, in the 1930s. The property was purchased by fashion designers Yves Saint-Laurent and Pierre Bergé, who worked to restore it. The villa is now home to the Berber Museum.

Located nearby is the Musée Yves Saint Laurent. It was opened in 2017 and includes a permanent exhibition space devoted to the work of YSL and designed by Christophe Martin, as well as a hall for temporary exhibitions.
