Slaughter and May is advising Tiger Bidco Limited, a subsidiary of funds managed by Pollen Street Capital, on its recommended acquisition of Mattioli Woods plc. Mattioli Woods is a diversified wealth and asset management business. Its core proposition integrates asset management and financial planning to serve a market predominantly consisting of the mass affluent, controlling directors and owner-managers, professionals, executives, individuals, families and retirees.
Under the terms of the acquisition, each Mattioli Woods shareholder will be entitled to receive 804 pence in cash for each Mattioli Woods ordinary share held by them. The acquisition values the entire issued and to be issued ordinary share capital of Mattioli Woods at approximately £432 million and is expected to complete in the second or third quarter of 2024, subject to receipt of shareholder and regulatory approvals.
