Visa and entry requirements
All visitors entering the United Kingdom must present a valid passport that is valid for the duration of your stay in the UK. Please note, for onward travel, other countries may require validity ranging from three to six months after your stay. To check if you need a visa prior to travel please check the UK government website.
If you require a visa, you will need to apply for a Standard Visitor Visa. You can apply for this here. The earliest you can apply for this visa is three months before your date of travel but we strongly advise that you apply at the earliest opportunity.
If you require an invitation letter outlining the purpose of your visit in order to apply for your visa, please email us.
Visitors must also have outgoing travel documents and evidence of sufficient funds to finance their stay.
Flights and airport transfers
There are six international airports serving the London region, but most visitors will likely arrive at London Heathrow Airport in the west of the city. Heathrow is 32km from Slaughter and May’s office. Travel time ranges from anywhere between 60 and 120 minutes’ drive during peak hours or about 60 minutes using public transport (Elizabeth Line from Heathrow to Liverpool Street Station).
Delegates may also arrive via London Gatwick or City Airports which are based in the south and east of the city.
For more information on the best transport links, please visit Transport for London’s website or ask a member of the team. We also recommend downloading the Citymapper app to help you navigate around the city during your stay.
Dress code
The dress code for the conference is business casual.
