Slaughter and May is advising Vodafone in connection with its buy out of CK Hutchison from the VodafoneThree joint venture

Slaughter and May is advising Vodafone Group Plc (“Vodafone”) on its agreement to buy out CK Hutchison Group Telecom Holdings Limited (“CKHGT”) from the VodafoneThree joint venture for £4.3 billion (the “Transaction”). On completion of the Transaction, Vodafone will become the sole shareholder in VodafoneThree, the UK’s largest mobile operator and one of the fastest growing broadband providers.

Slaughter and May previously advised on the formation of the joint venture (including the UK and EU competition law aspects and the UK national security aspects of the joint venture).

The Transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
