Slaughter and May is advising Song Capital on a €702.5 million non-recourse, 10-year non-amortising loan to a joint venture between Medical Properties Trust, Inc. and Praemia REIM. The facility is secured against a portfolio of German rehabilitation hospitals operated by MEDIAN, the largest operator of rehabilitation hospitals in Europe. The lending group comprises a consortium of global institutional, insurance and pension investors.
Slaughter and May worked closely with GSK Stockmann, which advised on matters of German and Luxembourg law.
