Slaughter and May is advising A.S. Roma S.p.A. and its owners, the Friedkin family, on the appointment of José Mourinho as new head coach which was announced on 4 May 2021.

Mourinho, who is returning to Serie A after 11 years coaching at the highest level in Spain and England, has signed a three year deal running to the end of the 2023/24 season.
