Ed is Head of Banking. He advises borrower clients across a range of treasury financing activities and credit fund and bank lenders on more highly structured leveraged lending transactions.

Highlights include advising in relation to:

  • acquisition and leveraged financings acting for lenders including Deutsche Bank, Ares, CDPQ, Fortress, H.I.G. and Schroders in a wide variety of sectors and jurisdictions, including in relation to corporates, energy and infrastructure assets, financial institutions, and real estate assets
  • bid financings for corporate and fund bidders, including SoftBank’s $40bn facility for purposes including the subscription for shares in OpenAI, Zurich’s acquisition of Beazley, Greencore’s acquisition of Bakkavor, Spectris’ acquisition of Micromeritics, Fortress Investment Group LLC’s recommended offer for Loungers plc, Schneider Electric’s acquisition of Aveva, HKEx’s bid for the London Stock Exchange Group plc, Marsh & McLennan Companies’ bid for Jardine Lloyd Thompson, Wren House Infrastructure’s acquisition of North Sea Midstream Partners, Compagnie Financiere Richemont’s acquisition of Yoox Net-a-Porter, Cineworld’s acquisition of Regal Cinemas, Mediclinic’s acquisition of Al Noor Hospitals Group and Cable & Wireless Communications’ acquisition of Columbus International

  • treasury financing transactions for borrower clients including loan facilities, bonds (including EMTNs, convertible bonds and high yield bonds), US private placements, CP programmes, supply chain financings, and derivative and structured finance transactions.
