Employee networks

All networks are open to everyone at the firm and have members from all levels across the firm and from a variety of backgrounds.

Christian Network

Our Christian Network meet informally for fellowship, reading through the Bible and prayer. It currently has about 25 members, including partners, associates, trainees and non-legal staff.

The group meets once a week to study the Bible and pray together and has occasional social events such as going for a meal together after work.

Recently, the group invited a local vicar to give a talk explaining the meaning of Easter and hosted Christianity Explored, a seven-week course on the basics of the Christian faith. 

The Christian Network also facilitate networking opportunities with other Christians working in the city through the Lawyers’ Christian Fellowship.

DIVERSE

DIVERSE is a firm-wide network that celebrates and promotes ethnic and racial diversity, both within and outside Slaughter and May.

J-Net

J-Net aims to provide an informal environment where issues of Jewish and general interest can be discussed; and organise and host several internal and external events throughout the year.

Muslim Network

The Muslim Network aims to support Muslims in the firm by providing a forum for staff to share ideas and concerns.

Family Network

The Family Network aims to provide support to everyone at the firm by offering information and promoting discussion around issues that are key to families of all shapes and sizes, whilst offering a chance to meet others in a similar position.

PRISM

PRISM is Slaughter and May’s LGBT+ group., offering a platform for the firm’s LGBT+ staff to network as well as focusing on LGBT+ recruitment and building client relationships.

 

Thrive

Everyone has mental health. Whether it be in the workplace or your personal life, it is important to know how to support your own wellbeing and others around you.

GEN – Gender Equality Network

GEN (Gender Equality Network) aims to promote gender equality and equal opportunities for men and women by raising awareness of workplace issues, encouraging engagement with questions on gender equality, providing training and offering a supportive forum to exchange ideas.
