On 19 January 2026 the UK’s new public offers and admissions to trading regime comes into force. Together with updates to the listing regime made in July 2024, the changes represent a crucial modernising step in the ongoing revitalisation of UK capital markets. Among other things, listed companies should find it easier, quicker and cheaper to raise further funding in a secondary capital-raising and to offer their own shares as consideration in a takeover.
