Slaughter and May is advising Spectris plc in connection with its disposal of the BTG Group to Voith GmBH & Co. KGaA

Slaughter and May is advising Spectris plc, the productivity-enhancing instrumentation and controls company, in connection with its disposal of the BTG Group to Voith GmBH & Co. KGaA for €319 million. The BTG Group is part of Spectris’ Industrial Solutions segment and provides specialised measuring instruments, software and services to customers to help deliver improved operational performance, cost management and enhanced quality for the pulp and paper industry.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, with completion expected to take place in the fourth quarter of 2019.
