Slaughter and May advised Interserve on the separation of its Tilbury Douglas construction division

Slaughter and May has advised Interserve Group Limited (Interserve) on the separation of its Tilbury Douglas construction division (Tilbury Douglas) so as to re-establish Tilbury Douglas as a standalone major contractor.

Tilbury Douglas delivers vital public sector projects across a range of areas including education, highways, health, justice, defence, water and environment, in addition to working in selected areas of the private sector.

The separation of Tilbury Douglas is part of the wider reorganisation of Interserve, which has also included the sale of Interserve Support Services to Mitie Group PLC in 2020 and the sale of the RMD Kwikform Group to the Altrad Group in 2021, each of which Slaughter and May advised on.

Slaughter and May supported Interserve’s in-house legal team, led by David Crook and Chris Edwards, and worked alongside a PwC team which was led by David Baxendale and Atul del Tasso-Dhupelia.
