Slaughter and May advised MTR Corporation Limited (MTR) in relation to the proposed property development and construction of a new railway station (Oyster Bay Station) at Siu Ho Wan along the existing Tung Chung Line.
The proposed property development will create a new community and is expected to provide about 20,000 public and private residential units and 34,500 square metres for commercial use. To cater for the transportation needs of the new community, MTR will finance, construct, operate and maintain the new Oyster Bay Station. MTR has commenced the detailed planning and design of Oyster Bay Station, and development will be carried out in phases with the first phase commencing in 2022 and the final phase of the private development expected to be completed from 2039.
