Kathrine Meloni

Having joined Slaughter and May in 1994, Kathrine spent her first decade advising on cross-border financing and M&A transactions, based mostly in the London and Singapore offices of Slaughter and May. Since 2004 she has primarily advised the Firm and its clients on risk management in banking and finance transactions, including approaches to major legal and regulatory developments and the negotiation of market documentation. Recent projects include leading the Firm’s advisory work on LIBOR transition and Brexit.

Kathrine has a particular focus on investment grade lending, advising the Association of Corporate Treasurers on documentation discussions with the Loan Market Association and other policy and technical issues. Kathrine has published numerous articles on banking and related legal topics and is the author of the ACT Borrower’s Guide to LMA Loan Documentation for Investment Grade Borrowers.  

Kathrine is also a member of the Firm’s Africa Practice Group. She has authored various articles on the use of LMA lending terms in Africa and spoken extensively on banking topics at LMA and other events across the continent.
