Slaughter and May advised INEOS Enterprises on the sale of the INEOS Calabrian business

Slaughter and May advised INEOS Enterprises on the sale of its Calabrian business to Ecovyst Inc. for a purchase price of $190mn, subject to certain customary adjustments.

Through its manufacturing facilities in Port Neches, Texas, USA and Timmins, Ontario, Canada, Calabrian is a leading producer of sulfur dioxide and related sulfur derivatives in North America, serving key end uses including mining, water treatment and specialty chemical production.

The deal was announced on 1 May 2026 and completed on 30 June 2026.

Slaughter and May, led by partner Sally Wokes and senior counsel Eleanor Mackay, has been working closely with the INEOS legal team, led by Robert Mace.
