Visit to the Sheldrick Elephant Sanctuary

Join us for a morning visit to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Nairobi. Founded 45 years ago by one family’s dedication to Kenya and its wilderness, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is best known for its Orphans' Project, a pioneering effort to protect wildlife and preserve habitats across East Africa. Renowned for its groundbreaking conservation work, the Orphans' Project is the world’s first and most successful elephant orphan rescue and rehabilitation program. During this visit, we’ll have the opportunity to observe the morning feeding of orphaned elephants and see firsthand how the Trust rescues and cares for young elephants until they are ready to return to the wild. You'll also learn about local conservation efforts and gain insights into how these elephants are prepared for independent life in their natural habitat. This experience provides a meaningful look at the Trust’s impactful work and the vital role conservation plays in preserving East Africa’s wildlife.

Mini Safari Tour

Next up, we will take a ‘mini safari’ through Nairobi Game Reserve, a unique wildlife experience just outside the city. This excursion offers a chance to see a range of Kenya’s iconic animals, including lions, giraffes, rhinos, and more, all set against the backdrop of Nairobi’s skyline. While animal sightings cannot be guaranteed, our knowledgeable guides will provide insights into the region’s wildlife and ecosystem, making this a convenient and enriching way to experience Kenya’s natural beauty and biodiversity. A packed lunch will be provided for you to enjoy during the excursion.
