Slaughter and May advised Bouygues S.A. on the UK competition law aspects of its acquisition of Equans S.A.S.

Slaughter and May advised Bouygues S.A., a diversified services group operating in over 80 countries, on the UK competition law aspects of its acquisition of Equans S.A.S.. The combination creates a world leader in the multi-technical services market, which is at the heart of the environmental, industrial and digital transitions. The Competition and Markets Authority announced on 27 September that it had cleared the transaction following a Phase 1 investigation. The approval is conditional on commitments offered by the parties to appoint an independent third-party expert to assess their bids in a tender to supply the High Speed 2 rail project.
