Slaughter and May advised Ocado on its customer fulfilment centre in Bristol

Slaughter and May is advising Ocado in connection with its first mini Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC). The mini-CFC will be located in Avonmouth, Bristol and is being delivered by St. Modwen.

The property will support the growth plans of Ocado Retail and comprises a warehouse of approximately 150,000 square feet and will have capacity for around 30,000 orders per week when operational. In comparison, the standard-sized CFC 5 in Purfleet (which Slaughter and May advised on earlier this year) is expected to fulfil approximately 85,000 orders per week.

The Slaughter and May team worked alongside Matt Burley (Senior Legal Counsel – Real Estate) from Ocado’s in-house legal team.
