The Banking Regulation Review - International initiatives

May 2016 | Client publication/article

Since the global crisis first manifested itself in 2007, it has at times been difficult to keep track of the numerous international initiatives that have been launched. The international initiatives chapter focuses on the two main bodies that have impacted the banking sector most significantly, both of whom have emerged from the crisis to lead the debate. These are the Basel Committee and the Financial Stability Board, which has led the debate on measures required to improve international financial stability.

This chapter was first published in The Banking Regulation Review, 7th edition (published in May 2016) by Law Business Research Ltd.
