Slaughter and May advised TG Jones on its successful restructuring

Slaughter and May advised TG Jones Retail Holdings Limited and TG Jones High Street Limited (together “TG Jones”) on their successful restructuring.

TG Jones is implementing a holistic restructuring of its financial and operational liabilities, involving, among other things, amendments and extensions of certain debt facilities and the restructuring of its leasehold estate and arrangements with its suppliers.

The restructuring is being implemented by way of inter-conditional restructuring plans under Part 26A of the Companies Act 2006, which were sanctioned by Hildyard J on 1 July 2026 despite opposition from certain landlords at the convening hearing. This opposition was subsequently withdrawn following negotiations between TG Jones and these landlords which resulted in a number of improvements to the restructuring plans for the benefit of plan creditors.
