Slaughter and May is advising IWG plc on its strategic partnership, joint venture and brand platform arrangements with Hysan Development Company

Slaughter and May is advising IWG plc, the global operator of leading co-work and workspace brands, on its joint venture with Hysan Development Company in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. IWG has agreed to enter into a long-term brand platform agreement which provides exclusive rights for the joint venture company to the use of IWG’s brands across Hong Kong and the GBA. Hysan is a leading Hong Kong property investment, management and development company and one of the largest commercial landlords in the GBA. The joint venture will acquire and operate IWG’s existing locations across Hong Kong and the GBA and address demand for hybrid working in the region. Completion of the transaction is expected to occur in September 2021.
