Slaughter and May advised Coca-Cola Europacific Partners on the European Commission’s recent competition law investigation in the beverages sector. The Commission investigated whether conditional rebates offered to retailers in a number of EU Member States would foreclose the entry or expansion of new drinks into the market in breach of Article 102 TFEU. Following a thorough analysis, the Commission closed the case without taking any further action.
