Slaughter and May is advising Arrow Global Group on the formation of a joint venture with Fortress Investment Group

Slaughter and May is advising funds managed by affiliates of Arrow Global Group ("Arrow") on the formation of a joint venture with funds managed by affiliates of Fortress Investment Group ("Fortress"). The joint venture will acquire a portfolio of European non-performing loans from Canada Pension Plan Investment Board ("CPP Investments").

The transaction follows a comprehensive review by CPP Investments of the portfolio and their decision to transfer the investment to Arrow and Fortress, who bring significant experience in managing and servicing complex credit portfolios across Europe. 

The transaction will deliver net proceeds to CPP Investments of approximately C$1 billion across the total portfolio, and is expected to close in May 2026.
