Slaughter and May advised Aviva Plc on the issue of RT1 Notes

Slaughter and May advised Aviva Plc on its issue of £500,000,000 Fixed Rate Reset Perpetual Restricted Tier 1 Contingent Convertible Notes (the RT1 Notes). The RT1 Notes are convertible into ordinary shares of Aviva Plc upon the occurrence of certain trigger events. The RT1 Notes are listed on the International Securities Market of the London Stock Exchange. Citigroup acted as sole structuring advisor and Barclays, Citigroup, HSBC, J.P. Morgan and NatWest Markets acted as joint lead managers for the issuance.
