Slaughter and May advises Virgin in successful Commercial Court claim

Slaughter and May acted for two entities in the Virgin Group, Virgin Aviation TM Limited and Virgin Enterprises Limited, in a successful claim in the Commercial Court by against Alaska Airlines Inc. The claim concerns the proper interpretation of a trademark license agreement between the parties. In a judgment dated 16 February 2023, Mr Christopher Hancock KC (sitting as a Deputy High Court Judge) found in favour of Virgin that Alaska is obliged to pay the contractually agreed Minimum Royalty for the term of the agreement.
