Slaughter and May wins Banking and Finance Team of the Year at the British Legal Awards

The firm won the award for its work advising Burberry on its inaugural sustainable bond issuance.

International law firm Slaughter and May was awarded the title of ‘Banking and Finance Team of the Year’ at the British Legal Awards 2021, for its work advising Burberry Group Plc (Burberry) on its issuance of a £300 million 5-year sustainability bond.

The Bond was the first sustainability labelled bond issued by a luxury fashion company and diversified Burberry’s sources of funding. The judges praised the team’s “legal expertise and innovation combined with teamwork and a very positive client outcome.”
