Slaughter and May elects new Executive Partner

Richard Clark has been elected Slaughter and May's Executive Partner with effect from 01 May 2013 for a four-year term. He will succeed Graham White who will retire from the firm on 30 April 2013.

As Executive Partner, Richard will be responsible for the firm's overall management strategy including people, finance, systems and compliance. He will work closely with the firm's Senior Partner and Practice Partner.

Richard joined Slaughter and May as a trainee solicitor in 1982 and became a partner in 1991. He is currently Head of the firm's Dispute Resolution group. He has a significant international commercial litigation and arbitration practice, with extensive experience of complex, multi-jurisdictional, corporate-threatening disputes.

Although the appointment as Executive Partner involves a full-time role, Richard will also continue in his relationship role with his dispute resolution clients and remain a member of the Dispute Resolution group. Deborah Finkler will succeed Richard as Head of Slaughter and May’s Dispute Resolution group on 01 May 2013.
