30% Club - Championing more women on corporate boards
We are members of the 30% Club in London and Hong Kong. Our senior partner in London was one of the founding Chairmen of the Club which was officially launched in November 2010. This is a voluntary, business led organisation that campaigns for at least 30% female representation on the Boards and Executive committees of companies.
We participate in the 30% Club Cross-Company Mentoring Scheme in London which offers a cohort of our high potential female associates the opportunity to be mentored by a senior business leader in a FTSE 100 company or a professional services firm. In exchange for nominating associates, a number of our partners mentor other women in the scheme.
We sponsor the annual 30% Club Boardroom Lunch in Hong Kong which we have supported since the establishment of the 30% Club in Hong Kong in March 2013 when we became one of 55 corporate members consisting of listed Hong Kong companies, corporates and advisory and statutory bodies supporting greater board diversity in Hong Kong. The 30% Club Hong Kong works to bring women into corporate boards in Hong Kong by raising awareness among chairmen and business leaders of the benefits of gender diversity and supporting initiatives to build the pipeline of women in executive and non-executive roles. The 30% Club Hong Kong is an outreach arm of The Women’s Foundation and its aims are endorsed by the Equal Opportunities Commission and the Women’s Commission of Hong Kong.
