Oliver has developed a leading bank and borrower finance practice. He advises on a wide range of financing transactions, including structured finance, acquisition/leveraged finance, derivatives and debt capital markets matters. He also regularly acts for purchasers and sellers of loan portfolios and associated businesses.

Highlights include advising:

  • Deutsche Bank AG on a number of loan portfolio sales and related securitisations, including the sale of a large mortgage portfolio into the Rochester securitisation platform
  • Highbridge on the asset-backed financing of its acquisition of a lease receivables portfolio and business
  • Fortress on investments in a range of performing and distressed financial assets and platforms and associated financing arrangements
  • Goldman Sachs as the arranger in connection with the issue of three sets of notes totalling USD 613 million secured against put options written by Danone SA over the shares of a joint venture company
  • Arrow Global on the issue of a number of senior secured notes
  • Mediclinic International Limited on its combination with Al Noor Hospitals Group plc
  • Equinix Inc. on its recommended offer for Telecity Group Plc
  • Reynolds Group on the sale of the SIG Combibloc business to Onex Corporation for an aggregate amount of up to EUR 3.750 billion
  • Peter Cullum and Andy Homer in connection with the restructuring of Towergate
