Dominic advises businesses on all areas of tax law. His practice includes:

  • structuring and other tax aspects of M&A, demergers, joint ventures and other corporate finance transactions

  • tax enquiries and disputes

  • standalone tax advisory work, including group reorganisations, bank levy, transfer pricing, Pillar 2, and the tax treatment of IP

Dominic is co-head of the firm’s Tax Disputes practice

  • GSK on the demerger of its consumer healthcare business to form Haleon (having previously advised on the creation of GSK’s global consumer healthcare joint ventures with Novartis and Pfizer)

  • GSK on the sale of Horlicks to Unilever, a major asset swap with Novartis, and the creation of the Galvani bioelectronics joint venture with Verily Life Sciences

  • Schroders on its acquisition of an initial 75% shareholding in Greencoat Capital

  • Credit Suisse on its successful bank payroll tax appeal

  • BlueCrest on various tax cases, including the lead case on the UK “salaried members” rules

Dominic is ranked as a leading lawyer, for both tax and tax disputes, in Chambers and Legal 500. Dominic is a committee member of the UK branch of the International Fiscal Association, and a trustee of the Social Mobility Business Partnership
