Going green: How the financial markets are adapting to a sustainable economy

Green and sustainability-linked financial products are a key component in developing an economy that can mitigate the effects of climate-related and sustainability challenges.

Following Slaughter and May’s green finance panel session earlier this month, this briefing discusses the more common of these products and how market participants are leading innovation in this area. It also gives a brief summary of the legal and regulatory responses, particularly in the context of climate-related reporting obligations which corporates may need to consider, irrespective of whether or not they plan to enter the green or sustainable marketplace.
