A review of recent developments in corporate criminal liability, including a consideration of the recent sentencing of Mabey & Johnson Limited for overseas corruption and breaching UN sanctions against Iraq, the first successful UK prosecution of a company for either offence, highlighting the key points of the case. Also assesses the significance of the Serious Fraud Office’s request for permission  to prosecute BAE systems for corruption offences.
