Peter is a senior consultant in our Hong Kong office. He was the Chairman of the Listing Committee of the Main Board and Growth Enterprise Market of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.
Peter acts for corporate clients, private equity houses and investment banks in relation to domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions (both public and private), joint ventures, large commercial contracts, equity and debt capital markets and direct investments, as well as advising a wide range of clients on corporate governance matters, disputes and regulatory investigations. Over the years, Peter has also advised companies, boards of directors and financial institutions on corporate rescues and restructurings.
Peter is listed as a Highly Regarded Lawyer in the IFLR1000 Asia Pacific 2022 for M&A, Capital Markets: Equity and Capital Markets: Debt in Hong Kong. He is named in the 2022 Legal 500 Asia Pacific Hall of Fame for Corporate (including M&A) in Hong Kong. He is also listed as an expert in the International Who’s Who Legal 2020 for Capital Markets: Structured Finance in Hong Kong.
Peter takes a keen interest in corporate governance, the roles and duties of directors in a fast evolving world and the ESG reporting requirements that will affect all companies. Peter has spent many years advising boards and directors on their obligations and duties in times of difficulties or conflict with major shareholders, governments and regulators.
Peter is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and Hong Kong. He was also previously the Senior Partner of our Hong Kong office.
