APPLICATIONS FOR OUR THIRD COHORT, TO JOIN THE LEGAL OPERATIONS GRADUATE TRAINING PROGRAMME IN SEPTEMBER 2023, ARE NOW closed
The Legal Operations Training Programme is our graduate scheme designed to recruit talented individuals into our Legal Operations teams.
Our Legal Operations teams are involved in a wide range of projects from legal project management, business intelligence and pricing, legal tech, innovation, knowledge management and more. Over a two year period you will work with almost all of our talented team members across these disciplines as you conduct a minimum of 4 rotations.
What are the rotations?
You will conduct a minimum of 4 rotations in the following disciplines:
Legal Project Management – incorporating best practice and enhancing client service delivery
Business Intelligence and Pricing – providing data, analysis and insight to support commercial decisions
Legal Technology* – finding solutions that fix real problems faced by our lawyers and clients
Innovation* – rethinking the way in which we deliver legal services
Knowledge* – a fundamental component of any legal business
*In addition to these rotations you will have the opportunity to go on secondment either within our business or to the legal operations function of a client.
For example, you might be seconded to other teams across Business Services, such as Responsible Business or our Technology department to experience other firm wide projects. Last but not least, during your innovation rotation you may also have the opportunity to work in the legal operations team of a client to see the work we do from the client’s perspective.
What training will I receive?
Training Course that has been developed with the University of Law and Positive Pricing. As part of this course you will be equipped with the basic concepts and skills needed to succeed as a legal operations professional. But, the Legal Operations Training Course doesn’t stop there. Over the remaining two years you will meet with other members of the cohort working at different City firms to share experiences and network.
The course will prepare you for the nature of the legal practice the firm conducts and the markets in which we and our clients operate, so that you can understand Legal Operations in context.
In addition to the course you will receive on the job technical training and we have created a learning and development plan that will continue to cultivate your professional skills throughout your two years with us. This includes a dedicated mentor and coach to help you thrive.
