Richard is the senior partner in our Hong Kong office. He has considerable experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and general commercial work, as well as debt raising and infrastructure project work in the region. Richard has lived in Hong Kong since 1990, and also spent three years there between 1982 and 1984.

His recent work includes advising:

• MTR Corporation Limited in relation to its privatisation, Hong Kong's first privatisation, including a global offering by the Hong Kong Government by way of secondary offer
• Standard Chartered PLC on its dual primary listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the first by a major London listed company
• MTR Corporation Limited in relation to the merger with Kowloon Canton Railway Corporation
• MTR Corporation Limited on its HK$10 billion syndicated loan facility in connection with the merger
• Swire Finance Limited on its HK$10 billion loan facility
• the Airport Authority of Hong Kong in relation to its proposed privatisation

Richard is qualified in England and Wales and in Hong Kong.
