Richard is the senior partner in our Hong Kong office. He has considerable experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and general commercial work, as well as debt raising and infrastructure project work in the region.

Highlights include advising:

• MTR Corporation Limited in relation to its:
  • privatisation, Hong Kong's first, and to date only, privatisation, including a global offering by the Hong Kong Government by way of secondary offer
  • merger with Kowloon Canton Railway Corporation
• Swire Pacific on the proposed spin-off and listing of Swire Properties
• Standard Chartered PLC on its dual primary listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the first by a major London listed company

Richard is listed as a leading individual in the 'Corporate/M&A: Hong Kong-based (International Firms)' section of Chambers Global, 2011  and is listed in Who’s Who Legal.

Richard is qualified in England and Wales and in Hong Kong and is a former member of the Securities and Futures Appeals Tribunal.
