Rebecca advises on a broad range of corporate, corporate finance and restructuring matters. Her practice consists principally of advising corporate clients on domestic and international corporate finance and M&A transactions, including public takeovers, private acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures and equity issues. She also advises generally on day-to-day company law and corporate governance matters. Rebecca is a contributing author to 'Annotated Companies Acts'.

Her recent work includes advising:

  • Songbird Estates plc on its placing and compensatory offer and subsequent increase in the ownership of Canary Wharf Group
  • RHJ International SA on the financial restructuring of the Honsel group
  • BHP Billiton on its all share inter-conditional offers for Rio Tinto Limited and Rio Tinto plc
  • Arsenal Holdings plc, the holding company of Arsenal Football Club, on a standstill and pre-emption agreement entered into by certain of its shareholders
  • Akzo Nobel N.V. on its recommended cash offer for ICI plc
  • the Department of Trade and Industry on the sale of part of its interest in British Energy Group plc through an accelerated book-built offering
  • Alliance Boots plc on a recommended cash offer by AB Acquisitions Limited, a company jointly controlled by certain funds advised by KKR and Stefano Pessina
