Padraig recently moved back to our London office having spent five years our Hong Kong office. He has a broad practice covering public and private mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, private equity, pre-IPO equity and debt financing, corporate borrowing and general financing.

• Prudential on:
  • its proposed US$35.5 billion merger with AIA Group
  • the sale of its agency distribution insurance business in Taiwan to China Life Insurance Co. Ltd. and Prudential's subscription for up to 9.95 per cent. of shares in China Life
• GE Capital on the sale to Standard Chartered Bank of its Hong Kong consumer mortgage and personal loans business
• Cazenove on its investment banking joint venture with JPMorgan Chase and JP Morgan Cazenove on the subsequent disposal of its entire interest in Cazenove Asia Limited to Standard Chartered Bank
• Stark Investments on a series of structured finance investments in the PRC, Indonesia and Australia
