Lisa recently became the Chief Representative of our Beijing office, where she is based. She is also a partner of our Hong Kong office and travels between the two.
Lisa has considerable experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, listings, joint ventures and general commercial work as well as loan and project financing transactions.
Highlights include advising:
- the Hong Kong Monetary Authority on the establishment of the Hong Kong Government’s Hong Kong dollar retail bond issuance programme and on the first issuance under the programme comprising up to HK$10 billion in principal amount of inflation-linked 'iBonds' due 2014
- China International Capital Corporation (CICC) as financial adviser to China Uranium Development Company in relation to its proposed subscription for new shares in Vital Group Holdings Limited for a total consideration of approximately HK$384 million and the proposed acquisition of HK$600 million convertible bonds issued by Vital
- Swire Pacific on:
- the restructuring of its and Cathay Pacific’s interests in Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (HAECO), including in relation to the referral by the Securities and Futures Commission of a difficult issue to the Takeovers Panel, the subsequent purchase by Swire Pacific of further shares in HAECO from Cathay Pacific and, advising both Swire Pacific and HAECO, in relation to the subsequent mandatory unconditional cash offer for remaining shares in HAECO
- the disposal of its interests in the Shekou Container Terminal in Shenzhen and the project company in relation to the earlier project financing of Phase II of the Shekou Container Terminal in Shenzhen
- Swire Pacific and Swire Properties on the proposed US$2.7 billion spin-off and separate listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange of Swire Properties Limited in 2010
- the agent for the lenders and arrangers on a HK$5,730,000,000 syndicated loan facility for CITIC Pacific which marks CITIC Pacific's return to the syndicated loans market after a three year absence
- Swire Properties in relation to syndicated loan facilities for the purposes of financing The Village, a retail and hotel development project in Sanlitun, Beijing, and Taikoo Hui, a retail and hotel development in Guangzhou
- a number of corporates and private equity real estate funds in relation to the acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and financings of their investments in residential, serviced apartment, office and retail property projects in Hong Kong, the PRC and Taiwan
- MTR Corporation Limited in relation to its investment in the construction and operation of Line 4 of the Shenzhen Metro and the related project financing
Lisa has also worked in the Law Division of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Asia Limited in Hong Kong where she covered both the real estate and private equity businesses in Asia Pacific (excluding Japan), primarily focusing on direct investments of real estate funds and private equity funds in China.
Lisa speaks fluent Mandarin and Cantonese and reads and writes Chinese.
