Jonathan has a corporate and corporate finance practice and has been involved in demutualisations, fund-raisings, joint ventures and private and public acquisitions. He also has experience of banking and capital markets transactions.
His recent work includes advising:
- Aviva plc on its disposal of a 15% stake in the listed Dutch insurer Delta Lloyd N.V. for approximately £381 million
- Greencore on its proposed merger with Northern Foods, the first transaction under the UK Takeover Code using the Cross-Border Mergers Directive
- Aviva in connection with the termination of its long-standing bancassurance joint ventures with RBS, and entry into a new distribution arrangements with the same party
- GlaxoSmithKline on its £900m bulk annuity buy-in agreement with Prudential and RSA on its £1.9 billion asset backed swap and longevity insurance contracts with Goldman Sachs International and Rothesay Life

Standard Life on its sale of Standard Life Healthcare to a subsidiary of South African listed insurer Discovery as well on its demutualisation and flotation on the London Stock Exchange
