James practises principally in the areas of corporate and corporate finance and co-ordinates our corporate real estate practice. He has extensive experience of public and private M&A transactions, joint ventures, corporate real estate transactions and a variety of capital raising techniques.

He has advised on the establishment of various European institutional and public real estate funds and real estate acquisitions and developments.

James has advised both in the UK and internationally, including public M&A transactions in South Africa and Hong Kong. He has also acted for a large number of North American corporates establishing operations in Europe, either organically or by acquisition.

Many of the private M&A transactions on which he has advised have been of a multi-jurisdictional nature, including the disposal of a variety of worldwide natural resources businesses with assets in Europe, the Far East, Australasia, Africa and the Americas.
