Gavin has a broad corporate and corporate finance practice. His practice covers both corporate and private equity clients, and he represents a number of companies in the real estate sector, including Grosvenor, Land Securities and Songbird Estates. He advises on a range of matters and has particular experience in public and private mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and equity capital markets.

Highlights include advising:

• Virgin on the sale of a controlling stake in Virgin Active to CVC
• Ericsson on the UK aspects of its acquisition, through a consortium, of Nortel’s remaining patent portfolio
• Songbird Estates on its equity capital raisings in 2009 and 2010
