Elizabeth qualified in 1981 and joined Slaughter and May, having been a partner at a well known media practice. She was Head of our Dispute Resolution group from January 2004 to May 2008. Her practice spans a broad range of high profile commercial litigation in the Higher and Appellate Courts. She has substantial experience of litigating and resolving major disputes particularly those of strategic complexity involving numerous parties and/or which spawn multiple actions and parallel proceedings in other jurisdictions (most notably the USA).

She has handled many statutory, regulatory and disciplinary investigations and enquiries in the commercial and financial sectors, as well as the related litigation and class actions which subsequently arise. She is often asked to provide urgent and discreet advice to clients faced with corporate threatening or reputational issues.

Elizabeth is named as a leading individual in the 'Commercial litigation', 'Fraud' and 'Financial Services (contentious) sections of The Legal 500, 2009 ; and in the 'Dispute Resolution'; 'Financial Services: Contentious Regulatory'; and the 'Fraud: Civil' sections of Chambers UK, 2010. She is also recommended for Dispute Resolution in the 2009 editions of Chambers Europe and Chambers Global.
