Andrew has a practice which focuses strongly on financing, including both banking and securities work. He acts regularly for a range of French, German and other financial institutions and corporate borrowers. His principal areas of activity are syndicated bank lending (including acquisition finance), restructuring and rescheduling of various kinds of financings as well as structured finance.

Recent highlights include advising:

• Perella Weinberg in relation to the acquisition of a portfolio of Spanish commercial real estate loans from RBS
• Lonza on the financing of its proposed acquisition of Arch Chemicals
• Resolution in relation to the debt financing for its acquisition of the UK insurance business of AXA
• Tata Steel in relation to the refinancing of its £3.53 billion term loan and revolving syndicated credit facility
• Reckitt Benkiser on its £2.54 billion recommended offer for SSL International plc and on a new related £1.25 billion loan facility
• H.M. Treasury and the Financial Services Compensation Scheme in relation to the Icelandic bank collapse

Between 1994 and 1996 Andrew was resident first in Tokyo and then in New York. He spent four years in Frankfurt from 1999, working very closely with Hengeler Mueller, before moving to Paris. Andrew returned to our London office in 2010.
