Blind in Business is a charity that operates across the UK helping blind and partially sighted students into work through training and employment services. It aims to encourage the students to identify and achieve their ambitions.

The employment services provided by Blind in Business support A-Level students, undergraduates and graduates with their transition from education to employment. The charity also works with employers to help them manage the recruitment of partially sighted and blind people by providing advice on adjustments and technological assistance. In addition, the charity runs training days in schools and a mentoring service for blind children.

Slaughter and May has a presence on the Blind in Business website to encourage blind and partially sighted students to apply to the firm via our trainee recruitment programme. In addition, members of our HR department have assisted in the Education to Employment events where blind and visually impaired candidates get the chance to meet recruiters, experience a mock interview and share experiences.
