Water and Waste Management

For many years we have been involved in the water and waste management sector on matters ranging from privatisations to ground-breaking water supply projects.

Our advice covers all aspects of the water industry including:

  • financing
  • industry regulation
  • project construction and development
  • restructuring
  • privatisations
  • mergers and acquisitions
  • planning and environmental advice

Our work in the water and waste management sector is part of our extensive Infrastructure practice, which provides advice across all legal disciplines for a broad range of clients, including major industrial companies, utilities, government departments, regulators and financial institutions.

We are renowned for our strong Sectoral Regulation practice. We were involved in the privatisation of the UK water industry and we now advise on regulatory issues arising in the context of mergers and acquisitions. Our regulatory work also includes advising on price control and other aspects of regulatory strategy.
