Our extensive expertise across the full range of oil and gas work has enabled us to take a leading role in this sector for many years. Our work in this sector forms an integral part of our Infrastructure, Energy and Natural Resources practice.

Our upstream work includes licence applications, business and company transfers, oil and gas projects and financings, environmental, tax and dispute resolution. We have been involved in the establishment or financing of a large number of projects in the North Sea and a range of other international locations.

In downstream oil and gas, we have been involved in acquisitions, disposals and financings relating to pipelines, gas processing plants and refinery assets. We have acted on a significant number of the largest Liquified Natural Gas ("LNG") projects in the world and have one of the leading global practices in this area.

In the regulatory field, we have recently played a leading role in the transformation of the gas sector, having been extensively involved in the privatisation, market liberalisation and regulation of the UK and other markets.
