A mentor and his student from Career Academies UK

30% of our London employees regularly volunteer. The neighbourhood surrounding our office is one of the most deprived in London and, for this reason, our volunteering efforts are focused here.

We work to improve the educational experience of students at two of our local primary schools - Prior Weston School and St Luke's Primary School - and a local secondary school, Central Foundation Boys' School. Our volunteers work with young people on literacy, employability and enterprise projects. The volunteers find these projects incredibly rewarding, and the young people gain confidence and develop essential skills.

We also volunteer at St Luke's Community Centre via projects such as "PC Pals" which helps older people at the centre to learn basic computer skills. At Islington Carers Centre, our volunteers support the young carers group.

These projects are strategic and ongoing. Our community partners are important to us and we will continue to ask them what they need most and then tailor that with our volunteers' skills and passions to make a positive impact at a very local level.
