Community

We work hard to make a positive impact on the world around us. Our community affairs strategy has evolved over time and originates in the pro bono work carried out by the firm in its early years.

We use our community affairs projects to support a variety of causes. Many of these projects have a legal or educational focus and we endeavour to support charities which work to address social issues that do not receive widespread corporate support.

Our activities in this area are directed by our Community Affairs Committee and are funded by the Slaughter and May Charitable Trust. We also receive support from a number of organisations including LawWorks, the East London Business Alliance and Heart of the City, and we participate in the work of these organisations at a strategic and operational level.

Our approach to the community reflects our client-facing values of excellence, innovation and exceptional service. Quantity is unimportant to us: quality is what really matters.
