Stephen has advised clients on a range of EU and UK competition law matters, including antitrust investigations, merger control, competition litigation, public procurement and State aid.

His recent experience includes advising:

  • Google on a wide range of matters, including the CMA market study and investigations by the French and Australian competition authorities
  • Bouygues on the CMA approval of its acquisition of Equans
  • Hunter Douglas on the CMA approval of its acquisition of Hillarys
  • HM Treasury on legal aspects of an alternative remedies package to replace RBS’s commitment to divest its UK retail and SME banking operations known as Williams & Glyn
